Jobs and Economic Development
The Most Valuable Policymaker according to the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, Mark Wright has worked tirelessly to improve our state's economy and create jobs. Despite all of the problems Washington D.C. created during Covid, Mark fought back to support our local businesses and job creators. Mark knows that to stop the exodus of Louisiana families, we must focus on solutions to the real problems we face and offer real opportunities for our neighbors.
Infrastructure
The Chairman of the House Transportation Committee, Mark has done what he said he would do: ensure infrastructure dollars are spent where they are needed most. For our community in St. Tammany Parish, that has meant securing funding for necessary infrastructure improvement projects here.
Education
Education is the most important investment families can make in their children’s lives and we can ensure as a state. It’s important that parents and local communities have as much control over education as possible. In the State House, Mark has worked hard to pass school choice legislation and to protect children in our schools.
Sanctity of Life
Mark believes strongly in the right to life. In addition to protecting the rights of the unborn, Mark is committed to helping young women who are faced with unexpected pregnancies get through their challenging circumstances. Further, as a husband and a father of five, Mark believes that family is the core of our society and that we must do whatever it takes to keep the family unit strong. His conservative voting record has earned him a 100% Pro-Life rating by the Louisiana Right to Life as well as the Family Advocate Award from the Louisiana Family Forum.
Gun Rights
“The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” Mark believes strongly that these powerful words in the United States Constitution describe a right that must be protected. His pro-Second Amendment voting record has earned Mark the endorsement of the NRA.
